Foreign Planet Like Earth Support Emergence of Life

The U.S. space agency, NASA said that finding exoplanets, or planets that resemble Earth alien could support the emergence of life. Scientists have recently discovered a planet that has similarities with Earth.

Reported by Sky on Friday ( 04/18/2014 ), this alien planet found orbiting the sun. The brown exoplanets have size almost similar to Earth and is located in the habitable zone. Which means that the distance between the planets orbit stars not too much or not too close so as to produce a temperature as the Earth's temperature and allows for occupancy.

Astronomers named the planet with the name Kepler-186f. The alien planet discovered by the Kepler telescope operated by NASA scientists.

Astronomers believe planets in the Milky Way has a high chance related to the emergence of life. Planet found orbiting habitable zone ( habitable ) with a distance of 500 light years from Earth.

What makes astronomers believe that the planet has a life is, not only the exact size to the Earth, but also the position of the stars that in its orbit. Planet Kepler-186f potentially save water.

This water is becoming one of the key elements to support the development of life. " We can say now that another planet, a potentially habitable world, have similarities in the size of the Earth. It is no longer in the realm of science fiction, " said Elisa Quintana from NASA.

Approximately 1,800 planets detected over the past 20 years. Reportedly, there are only 20 alien planets orbiting in the habitable zone, but it was bigger than the Earth. Scientists can currently examining the composition of the atmosphere and surface of the planet Kepler-186f.
